• 5-6 weeks of training twice a week in July - August.

  • We have quite a few former participants now playing in college that come home for summer that we hire to help with our sessions. It is so cool to see young adults that started our sessions at 10 and 11 years old teaching the next generation of players coming out of Spokane. Its a very unique environment from that perspective!

  • This is our most popular session and can be one of the most impactful.  We have multiple sessions at Dwight Merkel and Plantes Ferry Park to make it easier for families to find a location as close as possible.

  • We have a brief early registration discount period where players can get $25 off for registering early!

  • Summer session - $365 per player

Winter Session

  • Our winter session is a 10-week program, meeting twice a week for an hour and a half. All participants must commit to the full 4-month time period (November through February).

  • We take Christmas break off so that players can get away from the game and enjoy family time. Payments are split into two payments. $425 is due at registration in November and $225 is due at the first session in January.

  • A handful of academy alumni that have demonstrated mastery of what we teach, have shown an inclusive nature in our session and are outgoing and personable are given the opportunity to serve as mentors with our younger ages. From time to time our college alumni pop in when they are available to help as well.

  • During this time period, the move indoors limits the number of participants we can take on due to the limited space we have. The first opportunity to register for these indoor session is given to year-round families first. After that, we give participants in the last session the next opportunity to register so that they continue their training with us. If we have any space open after that we backfill remaining spots off of our waiting list.  We have an open registration period IF returning players opt out and there is no waiting list.

  • Winter Session - $650 per player

Spring Session Information

Build Game-Changing Ball Striking & Finishing

In soccer, games are decided by moments — and the players who can strike the ball cleanly and finish under pressureseparate themselves quickly.

Our Spring Academy is built to develop the skills that directly produce end product:

  • More goals

  • More assists

  • More danger created with fewer touches

  • More confidence in front of goal

Ball striking and finishing are not “just shooting.” They’re a complete performance skill that requires:

  • Clean mechanics (contact, posture, balance, plant foot, hip alignment)

  • Repeatable technique at speed

  • Fast decision-making (driven vs placed, near-post vs far-post, first-time vs extra touch)

  • Composure under pressure when defenders and game chaos show up

When players become true ball strikers, everything changes: they can punish space, hit early, finish through traffic, serve quality balls, and create consistent threats from wider areas and the top of the box.

Goalkeepers should attend too — modern keepers must be able to strike and distribute with confidence. Being clean with the ball at your feet isn’t optional anymore; it’s part of winning games.

At the Spokane Soccer Academy, we use training methods developed over 20+ years to help players produce results in real game situations — not just look good in lines.

Training will include a blend of non-opposed repetition (to groove mechanics) and opposed game-real pressure (to build execution under stress), such as:

  • Striking technique progressions (laces drives, inside-foot placement, receiving into strike, finishing off different services)

  • Finishing patterns that mirror match moments (cutbacks, near-post runs, far-post timing, top-of-box actions)

  • First-touch to finish (setting the ball with purpose to strike quickly and cleanly)

  • Two-footed finishing so players aren’t predictable and can score from more angles

  • Opposed finishing (defender pressure, limited touches, transition moments) to develop true composure

At Spokane Soccer Academy, we use training methods developed over

Our sessions are intentional, demanding, and proven — and the results speak for themselves: many of Spokane’s top high school and collegiate players (and a handful of professionals) have trained in this environment and continue to come back whenever they’re home.

Training for Every Level

Our Academy is not just for the “best of the best", although our oldest session is geared towards pushing older players hard. Every player starts somewhere, and we love helping younger athletes build the foundation they need to grow and improve. While we do not recommend that new or inexperienced players join our high school–aged sessions (2010 & above), we are more than happy to welcome new players into any of our other age groups.

Our goal is simple: meet players where they are, and then PUSH them to be better everyday by giving them the tools to succeed, and create an environment where they can develop a lifelong love for the game.

  • This 5 day - 10 hour clinic is designed to promote player confidence and encourage players to be outgoing in order to build relationships when in a new group. Along with challenging and fun training, we have senior mentors that help lead small group warm-ups and interact with younger players who may not be as confident in a new environment.

  • These seniors and juniors in high school are players who have been involved in our academy for years and understand that being inclusive is a key to developing a strong training environment. With that in mind they are constantly encouraging younger players to never be afraid of failure!
